VISION

For me, flowers are about people and staying connected. They have the power to make individuals feel good without words & simply bring us closer.  Crafting & delivering floral arrangements to the people of Perth is an absolute dream, whether it's for joyous celebrations, tender remembrances or simply to brighten someone's day. Not only do I love flowers and design, I love people. Each interaction allows me to contribute to acts of kindness and foster meaningful connections. Recently, I've been delighted to launch community flower clubs, a lifelong dream of mine. It brings me immense joy to announce that a portion of the proceeds from every workshop ticket sold goes towards organizing flower clubs for local aged care residents. Giving back to the community has always been a cornerstone of my business ethos, with a special focus on honoring our elders.

MISSION

I absolutely love the positive impact a floral creation can have on someone's mood and it's exactly this I wish to enhance! Life's challenges can be overwhelming, especially with the additional stresses brought by the pandemic. This inspired me to pursue my passion and elevate my beloved hobby to new heights. For me, floral design isn't just a creative outlet; it's a sanctuary where I can merge my creativity with the beauty of nature, providing others with a compelling reason to connect. Reflecting on the past, I draw inspiration from generations ago, particularly during times of war when women at home found solace in cultivating flowers. This era gave rise to a flourishing trend in flower arranging and the establishment of Flower Clubs (hence my biz name). This historical backdrop has always resonated with me, influencing my business name and igniting a deep-seated desire to reach out and foster connections through the timeless language of flowers.

ROOTS

My background... Firstly, I come from the Lake District in Northern England. I am extremely proud of my roots and grew up in a lovely part of the world, surrounded by fields, farms, not to mention flowers and lots of rain! Family businesses is the environment I grew up in, watching my parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles run small businesses, instilled in me a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Fueled by this upbringing, I pursued a business degree at university. At the age of 23, I embarked on my first entrepreneurial venture in the hospitality sector back in the Lake District. It was during this time that I crossed paths with my Australian husband, Richard, and together, we ventured to Perth to start our own family. Craving our own Business again, Rich and I set up a successful driving school (training being his passion, marketing being mine). Now firmly established, I decided to pursue the more creative me and gain professional floristry training. Today, my little Perth Hills flower business is blossoming organically and I am so bloomin' excited for the future.
